"a woman must have money and a room of her own if she is to write fiction; and that, as you will see, leaves the great problem of the true nature of woman and the true nature of fiction unsolved." Virginia Woolf

Hollis is here!
I'm an "aunt"! April and Dustin's little bundle of joy made his arrival into the world early yesterday morning after many hours of labor. After 2 hours of pushing and a couple of tries with the forceps, they decided Hollis needed a little more help so they did a C-section. Mom and baby are both doing well now, thank God, and should be able to come home Monday afternoon.

Waiting for Hollis to arrive
Enjoying some time with the new Mommy and her beautiful baby boy
He definitely has Dustin's mouth, but I think he has his mom's nose and eyes. He's a beautiful little combination of his mom and dad and I can't wait to get over this blasted cold so I can see him again.
The moment we begin to fear the opinions of others and hesitate to tell the truth that is in us, and from motives of policy are silent when we should speak, the divine floods of light and life no longer flow into our souls.
I'm a reader. I complain about all of the reading that I have to do, but secretly I LOVE it (or, maybe not so secretly!). I am a Ph.D. student in Religion at Duke University and thus live for basketball season. Go DEVILS!!!

Congratulations, "Aunt" Mandy! April is such a beautiful Mommy. Tell her I said Congrats, and her baby is adorable.
So do you think he looks more like April or Dustin?
