Friday Favorites

Cady's carseat/booster seat - Britax carseats and booster seats are DA BOMB. They are easy to switch from car to car, the straps don't get twisted very often, they clean up well (yes, we've had to clean on multiple occasions), and they always receive fabulous safety ratings. I know this is an odd thing to post as a Friday favorite, but I was a bit stumped about what to "promote" this week and Target's black Friday sale gave me the idea to plug the carseat. I know Britax carseats are expensive, but if you look for sales (like today's sale at Target) you can get a Britax seat for about the price of other carseats.

We used a Graco infant carrier (because of the superior safety ratings and cheaper price), but switched to the Britax Roundabout when I got tired of lugging the infant seat around. Now Cady's in a Britax booster seat (because I saw the one Anna had for Addie and couldn't resist a nice sale I found!). Really, I cannot recommend the Britax Marathon highly enough and $100 is a great price for one. And since I know this post probably only applies to about 3 of you that might be in the market for a carseat, I will stop there. But Britax carseats are a favorite, seriously. So, what carseats do you adore?

We had the Chicco travel system and we loved it. However, after reading reviews and safety ratings we jumped on the Britax bandwagon way before Jack was even born. We received the Roundabout for a shower gift and knew we wanted to stick with Britax going forward. Jack is now in the Frontier and he loves it(as much as a child could love a carseat, I guess).
I agree, it is pretty easy to clean. We've had to strip down both carseats due to a stomach virus and they washed very well.

That's what we have now too, Rita! Cady LOVES having TWO cupholders ;-)

Oh wow! Apparently, I just skimmed the last part of your post. $100 is a fabulous price!

Jack also loves having two cup holders but believes he "needs" two cups.

Methinks I shall make a visit to our local Target this afternoon. We want to get a Britax convertible for Madison's next seat. I was wondering if we would need to get two or plan to move one from car to car...

I was thinking you might be looking for one, Melissa ;-) I think you could order online and have it shipped for free if you'd rather do that. We only have one Roundabout because we only have one car, but 2 is certainly more convenient if you will be using both cars equally.

In both of our vehicles we have the Graco Nautilus 3-in-1. It is not a convertible seat, but we are beyond that, anyway. This seat holds up to 65 pounds in the 5-point harness and then up to 85 pounds with the high-back booster and then up to 100 pounds with the backless booster. Needless to say, we'll be using it for a long time! So easy to take apart and clean. A little heavy, but very sturdy and the straps never get twisted!! It has one cup holder but two little "cubby holes" that Micah likes to hide cars and airplanes in. :)

Glad this post was helpful to a few of you! Hope you were able to snag a great deal on an amazing carseat.

Elizabeth, it sounds like the Graco Nautilus 3-in-1 is similar to the Britax Frontier (which is the booster Cady's in now). The Frontier holds up to 85 pounds in a 5-point harness (not that we'll necessarily need it/use it that long) and up to 120 in booster mode. I love seats that are multi-purpose! :-)
