Friday Favorites

We adore our church. While it seemed to take forever to find a new church home in Montgomery, I must say that it was well worth the wait. Pintlala Baptist Church is the perfect place for us right now. We adore our pastor, Gary Burton, his wife, Jerrie, and the rest of the ministerial staff. Even better, we love the other church members. They are quickly becoming like family to us. PBC is a small congregation, but it's full of love and life and lots of exciting new things are happening there right now.

For example, last week's Wordless Wednesday picture was something that Chad and Cady made for church. You see, Chad and I are both leading small group studies at PBC on Wednesday nights. I'm teaching a 6-week course on Baptists and what they believe and he's teaching a 6-week course on the Old Testament prophets. He used this poster (lovingly decorated by our daughter) and another to publicize his "course." It was fun watching Joe and Gary walk around with the posters like modern-day prophets, but the picture of Cady with the poster takes the cake. I'm SO glad we thought to have her pose with her artwork. What do you think, does she have a future in sidewalk preaching? :-)
