My First Shower

No, I'm not referring to my first shower ever...or to Cady's. And no, I'm not about to post pictures (aren't we all glad?). However, today I accomplished something that I wasn't sure was ever going to be possible again (yes, I'm exaggerating). I took a shower while I was home with Cady by myself. She sat in her little bouncy seat in our room while I showered. Now it wasn't like the luxurious showers of old, but it was wonderful nonetheless. Perhaps next time I'll even attempt shaving my legs or washing my hair in addition to washing my body and face, but I'll probably not add both at once :-) Oh the things I once took for granted!

I, too, remember my "first shower"! It is a blessed occasion! And I am happy to report as my children are turning 4 and 5, I can now wash hair, face, and body, shave appropriate areas, and even (drum roll, please) dye my hair! The day will come for you too friend! Congratulations on the first step!

oh how I remember that same exact day! and I felt the same exact way, I could not believe the little things I once took for granted! especially sleeping for more than a couple of hours at a time!!! I love reading your post... I always seem to chuckle..at the "sameness"

I love it! So true...I would do the same and Cecilia would scream the whole time. Thank goodness those days (of screaming) are over.

Is Cady calm in her seat without Mommy holding her?
